Ingredients:

  • 1 large (200g) ripe avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Scoop the avocado flesh into the blender. Add the minced garlic and fresh cilantro. Pulse 3-4 times until the solids are roughly broken down but not yet liquefied.
  2. Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, and lime juice to the blender. Start on a low speed and gradually increase to medium-high. Process for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is velvety and a consistent pale green color.
  3. Add the salt and black pepper. Pulse one final time to incorporate. Use a spoon to taste; if you prefer a thinner consistency, add buttermilk one teaspoon at a time until it pours smoothly.
