Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 4 cups (480g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tsp (5g) ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp (45ml) heavy cream
Instructions:
- Place the softened butter in a mixing bowl and beat on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes until the butter is pale and fluffy.
- Turn the mixer to the lowest setting and gradually add the sifted powdered sugar one cup at a time.
- Add the ground cinnamon, then increase the speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and cohesive.
- If the frosting is too stiff, add heavy cream one tablespoon at a time until it reaches a velvety, spreadable consistency.
- Stir the frosting by hand with a spatula for 60 seconds to remove excess air bubbles.
