Ingredients:

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

Instructions:

  1. Wrap the tofu block in paper towels and place a heavy skillet on top for 10–15 minutes to remove moisture. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Place cubed tofu in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper over the tofu. Toss gently until every cube is evenly coated in a thin layer of starch.
  3. Preheat the air fryer. Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Spritz lightly with oil.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the edges are golden-brown and the crust is firm.
