Ingredients:

  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans sliced green beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Place the diced bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is crisp and the fat has rendered. Remove the bacon bits with a slotted spoon, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
  2. Add the diced onions to the bacon fat and sauté for 3-5 minutes until translucent and golden-brown.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add the rinsed canned green beans. Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes until heated through and slightly seared.
  4. Stir in the butter, minced garlic, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 60 seconds until the butter is velvety and garlic is fragrant.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir the crispy bacon bits back into the pan and drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.
