Ingredients:
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans sliced green beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Place the diced bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is crisp and the fat has rendered. Remove the bacon bits with a slotted spoon, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
- Add the diced onions to the bacon fat and sauté for 3-5 minutes until translucent and golden-brown.
- Increase heat to medium-high and add the rinsed canned green beans. Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes until heated through and slightly seared.
- Stir in the butter, minced garlic, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 60 seconds until the butter is velvety and garlic is fragrant.
- Remove from heat. Stir the crispy bacon bits back into the pan and drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.
